The Battle of Britain Air Show 2020

The Battle of Britain Air Show with attractions for all the family which include flight experiences, a funfair and stalls.

Enjoy our Battle of Britain display featuring representative aircraft from the Battle of Britain era between 11am and 3:30pm.

Spitfires,  Hurricanes and other aircraft of the period such as the Tiger Moth and Harvard T6 will also take part. This activity is courtesy of the fabulous Aero Legends.

Camping

For just £89 (Tent) £99 (Caravan or Motorhome) - includes four weekend tickets!

Both the £89 & £99 tickets gives you access to camping on the airfield and entry for 4 adults on both days.

Other details:-

  • Arrival from midday on Friday
  • Departure by midday on Monday
  • Toilet & shower facilities
  • Fresh water and also a toilet emptying point
  • There is no electrical supply but you can bring a generator if you have a fire extinguisher
  • Gas BBQ's are permitted as long as you have a fire extinguisher.
  • Maximum tent size is 9 x 9 foot (2.7 x 2.7m)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can I bring my dog? 

A. Yes you can. The air field does allow dogs on a lead. Owners must make provisions to clear up after their dog. Be advised this is not a dog-friendly show.

Q. What are the provisions for disabled/elderly customers? 

A. There is disabled parking for blue badge holders. The airfield is flat although grassed.

Q. What food concessions are there?

A. There is an on-site cafe, Wings Bar @wingsbarheadcornaerodrome plus food outlets around the site.

Q. Can I bring a picnic

A. Yes

Q. Can I bring a BBQ?

A. No

Q. What Time does it start and finish?

10.00 am - 5.00pm with flying due to start around lunchtime.

Q. When can I park?

A. ALL carparks are open from 10.00am

Q. Can I change my tickets?

A. Unfortunately, once you have purchased your tickets we cannot offer refunds or exchanges.

Q. Can I purchase on the gate?

A. Yes

Q. If my tickets have not arrived in time how will I get in?

A. Your confirmation e mail will allow admittance.

Q. Do I have to pay for my child?

A. All under five years go FREE.

Travelling by Car

Headcorn Aerodrome is just 15 minutes South of Junction 8 of the M20. Shenley road can be found off the A274 Biddenden Road approximately 1 mile south of Headcorn village. FREE PARKING

The Aero Legends

Flying displays featuring representative aircraft of the Battle of Britain will take place between 2-5pm. As well as Spitfires and Hurricanes other aircraft of the period such as a Tiger Moth will also take part. An airfield attack scenario will form part of the display.

Photo opportunity

There will be an exciting opportunity to take part in exclusive photo shoots with the aircraft. This will enable you to take unobstructed pictures of the aircraft. We hope to be able to include reenactors and military vehicles. More information and ticket prices will be released soon. Places will be strictly limited to 50.
